Beginning in 2017, we initiated an education program aimed at promoting STEM learning and technology awareness among students. As part of this effort, we participated in a STEM carnival at Ho Ngai College (sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen), inviting students from the Tuen Mun district to explore the application of drones in STEM education. At a time when e-learning had not yet gained widespread adoption, we focused on hands-on experiences, allowing students to engage with drone programming through tablets provided at the event. By showcasing the accessibility of drone operation and coding, we sought to dispel the perception that these technologies were difficult to approach, paving the way for subsequent drone workshops in schools to spark greater interest in STEM disciplines.
