Entrepreneurial Thinking and Business Leadership Development Program
This workshop aims to cultivate the entrepreneurial ability of secondary school students, and learn big data analysis, product design, business model analysis and design, business negotiation, as well as speaking and presentation skills. Students are encouraged to explore research methodology, build prototypes, conduct practical tests, and learn business models and market strategies.

The objectives of this workshop are:
To provide students with a basic understanding of entrepreneurship concepts and their practical applications.
Teach students how to conduct product design, business model analysis and design, business negotiation, as well as speaking and presentation skills.
Enhance students' problem-solving, critical thinking and innovative thinking.
Course Overview
This workshop introduces students to the world of entrepreneurship and teaches them how to build their own business from scratch. Students will learn to evaluate product quality and business success indicators, and gain important skills in problem solving, critical thinking, and innovative thinking that can be applied to any future entrepreneurial project.
Our goal is to inspire and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs by teaching these skills so that secondary school students can develop the confidence and knowledge to succeed in any field. 01/ Business Introduction
Understand the basic concepts of starting a business
Cultivate entrepreneurial thinking
Identify innovation and growth opportunities
Main Activities:
- Ice-breaking activities to help students get to know each other and build a sense of commonality
- Introduce key entrepreneurial concepts, including idea generation, market research and business models
- Discuss successful entrepreneurs and their stories
02/ Ideation and market research
Develop effective idea generation skills
Understand the importance of market research
Analyze market data to identify opportunities and risks
Main Activities:
- Brainstorming and Ideation, Design Thinking (User Journey Mapping, Root-cause Analyses) exercises to generate new entrepreneurial ideas
- Conduct market research to verify the feasibility of the idea
- Learn how to identify and analyze target customers, competitors and market trends
03/Prototype design and testing
Understand the importance of prototyping and user testing
Learn design thinking and apply it to entrepreneurship
Develop user experience design and usability testing skills
Main Activities:
- Create a prototype of the selected business idea (Prototype for Proof-of-concept, to MVP)
- Conduct user testing and feedback sessions to refine the prototype (Participatory Design)
- Learn the design thinking process to create user-centric products (User-centric Design)
4A/Mobile App Product Design
Learn interface design and user experience, focusing on creating prototypes and design mockups using Figma
Introduction to Figma interface and basic tools, creating new projects and importing design assets
Use Figma's tools and components to create wireframes and mockups, add interactive and animated effects, conduct user testing and collect prototype feedback, use collaborative tools to collaborate with team members and stakeholders, and make iterative designs based on user feedback and testing results
4B/3D model drawing and printing
Learn the basic concepts and skills of 3D model design and become familiar with the use of 3D drawing software
Use 3D drawing software to create 3D models, including design, modeling and detailing of models
Import 3D models into 3D printers for printing, and learn how to prepare and set up before printing
4C/Internal Web or Mobile App Design
Learn to design systems using the No-code Platform DragOnce
Learn SWD analysis and list stakeholders, workflows and datafields in an orderly manner
Learn how to transform your desired workflow into the ultimate user experience (User Stories & User Experience)
05/Marketing and Sales Strategy
Understand the importance of marketing and sales in starting a business
Develop brand management and digital marketing skills
Learn customer acquisition and retention strategies Develop marketing and sales strategies for startup ideas
Main Activities:
- Develop marketing and sales strategies for business ideas (eg Google Search Engine Optimisation, Search Engine Marketing, Facebook Ads etc.)
- Learn about Digital Marketing Channels and how to use them
- Identify key metrics to measure the success of your marketing strategy
06/Presentation and Speaking Skills
Develop public speaking and presentation skills
Understand the components of an effective presentation
Learn the Importance of Startup Storytelling
Main Activities:
- Write a Pitch Deck and practice presenting your startup idea
- Learn effective speaking skills, including body language and storytelling techniques
- Participate in public speaking competitions or mock public speaking events
07/Business Model Development (Business Canvas)
Understand the components of a successful business model
Develop financial analysis and forecasting skills
Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges
Main Activities:
- Develop a comprehensive business model for your business idea, not just prototype design, but also think about how to bring the product to market
- Identify key revenue sources and cost structures
- Learn financial forecasting and prediction
08/School Entrepreneurship Competition
Participants will be divided into groups
Use what you have learned in class to design and write your own game
The works will be graded by the instructor and other students based on completeness, playability and creativity.
